Louver Grating – Architectural & Industrial Screening Solution

Louver grating is a specialized metal grating featuring angled horizontal louver bars (cross bars) pressed or welded into vertical bearing bars at a predetermined angle. This distinctive design creates a visual screening effect while maintaining unrestricted airflow – making it the ideal choice wherever you need to balance privacy, ventilation, and aesthetics.

Unlike traditional bar grating where cross bars run perpendicular to bearing bars, louver grating positions its cross bars at an incline – typically ranging from 10°–50° in 5° increments. The result is a product that appears closed from certain viewing angles while remaining fully breathable, offering both functional performance and architectural appeal.

Specifications of louver grating

  • Material: Low-carbon steel Q235, stainless steel 304 / 316 / 316L, aluminum
  • Surface Treatment
    • Hot-dip galvanized: To BS EN ISO 1461, for carbon steel corrosion protection
    • Polyester powder coated: To BS EN 13438:2005, for architectural colorfinishes
    • Electro-plated zinc: To BS EN 2081:2008
    • Anodized: To BS EN 7599:2010, for aluminum only
    • Electro-polished: To BS EN 15730:2000, for stainless steel only
  • Press-Locked Louver Grating Parameters
    • Bearing bar height: 25 mm, 30 mm, 35 mm, 40 mm, 45 mm, 50 mm
    • Bearing bar thickness: 2 mm, 3 mm
  • Louvre Angle Range
    • Standard angles: 30° or 45°
    • Custom range: 10°–50° in 5° increments
    • Angle note: The effective louver angle depends on the relationship between bearing bar height and cross bar spacing. Taller bearing bars with closer cross bar spacing create steeper angles.
